Cold laser is a therapy that uses non-thermal photons (cold) of light to penetrate the skin and reach specific areas. Once absorbed, it interacts with the light-sensitive elements in the cell that will reduce inflammation, and increase the cell’s metabolism, reducing healing time. It’s pain-free, drug-free, and non-addictive. We’ve had success using this therapy in our treatments to relieve pain for tennis elbow, carpal tunnel, arthritis, and many more.
Cupping is a therapeutic technique that involves placing cups on the skin to create suction, which promotes blood flow, reduces tension, and aids in healing. It is often used for conditions like muscle pain, inflammation, and mobility issues.
You may have seen athletes wearing colored tape on their arms, elbows, or maybe a knee. That’s kinesiology taping. It is a special adhesive tape that has elastic properties. It gives stability and support to your joints and muscles without hampering your mobility; that’s why it’s so popular among professional athletes. But you don’t have to be one to receive the benefits of this method. Depending on the tension that it puts on the body when applied, it can stimulate or relax the muscles. It also helps reduce inflammation and swelling, which decreases the pressure in the area. This allows lymphatic fluid and blood to have improved flow. Using kinesiology taping, we can reduce inflammation, promote better circulation and facilitate healing. Combined with chiropractic care, Kinesiology tape is a very effective method of treating muscular and joint issues.
Scraping is a soft tissue therapy that uses specialized tools to apply pressure and friction to the skin. This technique improves blood circulation, reduces pain, and improves mobility.
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses acoustic waves to stimulate healing in musculoskeletal tissues. It is commonly used for pain management and tissue regeneration. The therapy works by delivering high-energy sound waves to the affected area, promoting increased blood flow and cellular repair.
Stretching is used to improve flexibility, enhance range of motion, and reduce muscle stiffness. In chiropractic care, stretching is often incorporated to relieve tension, improve posture, and support injury recovery.
While most would think of pregnancy when talking about ultrasounds, we actually use it as part of our treatments. By using the sound waves from the ultrasound wand, it will begin to warm the troubled area. As it does so, it creates the condition known as hyperemia, where when temperature increases, blood flow increases. This stimulation will help decrease inflammation and stimulate the healing process in the treated area. It will also decrease pain, stiffness, and spasms. Ultrasound therapy can be an excellent alternative to aid in the healing of injury or chronic pain management.
